Description
P-19 (Flat Face B) is Soviet low altitude target asquisition radar with range of 160km, associated with SA-3 SAM system. The radar is further development of the P-15 (Flat Face A). Designed in 1974, the P-19 still stay into service in many countries, operators of SA-3, also as it was used as a surveillance radar for SA-6, SA-8 SAMs. This choice was made in due of high mobility of the radar, its deploying time is 20 minutes only, that was ideal for mobile SAMs like SA-6/8.
