October Children (Latin: Oktiabriata) is a Communist organization of young schoolchildren, active during
Soviet period. First time this term was appeared in 1923-1924 referred to children was born in 1917, the year of the October revolution.Later the term was used as the name of a youth organization for children
between 7 and 9 years old. After the age of nine October Children would typically join the Young Pioneer organization.
